Preventing unintentional injury and death in children ages 14 and under

Safe Kids Sarpy/Cass County brochure

Safe Kids Sarpy/Cass County is dedicated to keeping the kids of Sarpy and Cass counties safe. Safe Kids is a worldwide organization that was founded in 1987. Safe Kids Worldwide branches out into Safe Kids USA, then into each of the 50 states, including Safe Kids Nebraska, then into chapters like Safe Kids Sarpy/Cass County. Safe Kids has contributed to a 57% decline in childhood deaths due to accidental injury since its initiation. With proper education, 90% of accidental injuries can be prevented.

Safe Kids creates a safe environment for kids by using education, research, and advocating for effective laws. Safe Kids uses a collaboration of programs to reduce injuries and death in children 14 years and younger.

Safe Kids Sarpy/Cass County addresses injuries in priority areas including: child passenger safety, pedestrian safety, wheeled sports safety, home safety, farm safety, water safety, poison control, fire/burns, and falls.

Safe Kids Sarpy/Cass County holds monthly meetings in both Sarpy and Cass counties. Call 402-339-4334 x 210 for meeting dates and times.

The "Safe Kids Member of the Quarter" is a Safe Kids Sarpy/Cass County member who has made substantial contributions to the chapter. The "Safe Kids Member of the Quarter" is chosen and voted on by the members of Safe Kids Sarpy/Cass County.
